Can I bring a date?
While we wish we could celebrate with everyone, we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation and unfortunately cannot offer additional plus-ones. If your invitation includes a plus one, it will be specified there and when you go to RSVP.
Can I park at the venue?
Yes! There are plenty of parking spaces available at the venue.
What is the aerial tram?
The wedding ceremony and reception will be held at Palisades High camp at the top of the mountain (weather depending). The tram (free to wedding guests) will take you from the valley floor (6200 ft) to High Camp (8200 ft). The tram takes ~10 minutes. The first tram will depart at 3pm and the second at 3:15pm.
How will we get back down to the Village?
The tram will run throughout the night to take you back down to the Village.
How might weather impact the wedding day?
Our ceremony and reception will be held at the top of the mountain (tram up), dependent on weather. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside, with the reception indoors.
If the weather is too windy/stormy at the top we will hold the ceremony and reception at the Olympic Village Events Center, located just a 5 minute walk from the base of the Aerial Tram. If this is the case, direction will be clear and provided day of. Indoors vs outdoors at the Olympic Village Events Center will also be dependent on weather at the Village. The weather at the top of the mountain can vary greatly from the Village, so there is a chance we remain outdoors for the ceremony/cocktail hour at this location, with the reception being held indoors.
What should I expect from the weather?
Lake Tahoe in June is beautiful - days are usually sunny and in the low 70s! But once the sun goes down, it cools off fast, so make sure to bring a jacket or some warm layers for the evenings.
If you’re planning on visiting the lake and thinking about jumping in, just a heads-up: the water stays pretty cold year-round, but very refreshing!
When should I book my stay?
If you plan on staying at The Village at Palisades Tahoe, the sooner the better! The provided discount is off of the prevailing public rate and based on current availability at the time of the reservation request, so it is best to make reservations early to take advantage of the best available rate!
If you are planning on staying elsewhere, we still recommend booking well in advance. The Olympic Valley area tends to be a bit quieter in the Summer months but if you choose to stay near the lake, Summer can be a popular tourist season here.
Can I bring my children?
While we love your little ones, we kindly request that our wedding be an adult-only celebration.
